Awards

ST. PETER CLAVER AWARDS OF MERIT

All resumes of nominees for these awards must bear the seal of the Council or Court and the signatures of the Grand Knight/Lady and the Financial Secretary.  ALL RESUMES MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE NATIONAL OFFICE BY JUNE 14.

These awards are in two (2) categories as follows:

1. Gold Medal of Merit

This award is presented to any person, who has in his or her field of endeavor or independently, contributed toward the advancement of mutual understanding, enhanced and enriched the prestige and dignity of the individual and foster the cause of better human relationships of humankind. These resumes are reviewed and rated by the Executive Board members and forwarded to the Supreme Knight/Lady for final selection.

2. Silver Medal of Merit

This award is restricted to the members of the Order. Consideration for determining the recipient is based on:

  • significant and outstanding contributions for the Good of the Order;
  • personal achievements or contributions to the Church and community;
  • and individual examples of outstanding Catholic leadership.

Recipients from each of the six District/States are selected annually.

These resumes are reviewed and rated by the “Awards Committee” and forwarded to the Supreme Knight/Lady for final selection.

THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE YEAR AWARD

THE “Father John N. LaBauve, S.V.D.” National Council of the Year Award
This award was established and designed so that every Council in good financial standing would be eligible to participate. It is also to recognize some of the outstanding contributions and accomplishments that a Council has given to the church, charity, community and our Noble Order. 

 

THE NATIONAL FAMILY OF THE YEAR

This award was established to honor a unit in good standing.  To receive this award a unit must include active Junior Knights, Junior Daughters, Senior Knights and Senior Ladies for eligibility. 

 

THE NATIONAL GRAND KNIGHT/GRAND LADY OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award was established and designed so that every Grand Knight/Grand Lady in good financial standard would be eligible to participate. It is also to recognize leadership, outstanding contributions and accomplishments that the Grand Knight/Grand Lady has exhibited to the church, charity, community and our Noble Order.

THE KPC VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS AWARD

The goal of this National Project is to donate to the Church and community THE NOBLE ORDER. The Volunteer SERVICE PROJECT WILL l begin APRIL 1ST , the year and will end on APRIL 1ST OF THE NEXT YEAR We can accomplish our mission by all units joining forces and working cooperatively for the good of the Knights of Peter Claver Inc. All donated hours during the SERVICE PROJECT TIME WILL BE DOCUMENTED along with services performed and financial contributions. At the end of the year, all hours and financial contributions will be recorded, calculated and disseminated to all divisions. WE WILL AWARD THE TOP THREE IN EACH UNIT
